T.C. Civil Air Transportation Management Program T.R. Istanbul Arel University Vocational School has been authorized by DGCA as “Ground Handling Training Institution” since 2014. Within the scope of the authorizations given by DGCA, our students are given internationally valid certificates from the following courses;

The Program trains individuals who have the qualified, technical skills and knowledge needed by the aviation sector. The aviation sector is a sector that continues to develop in the world and in Turkey, and that has not reached saturation in terms of employment and constantly needs qualified personnel. In order to meet this need, the Civil Air Transportation Management Program aims to train individuals who will work in airline enterprises, airport enterprises, cargo and logistics enterprises, ground handling organizations.

 

In order to provide our students with the necessary technical (operational) and managerial (administrative) skills related to aviation activities, Airport management, Airline Management, Passenger Services, Ramp, Operations, Cargo operations, Aviation Safety, Air Logistics, Human Resources in Aviation, Dangerous Goods, etc. courses are offered.

 

In addition to vocational courses, communication techniques in aviation, personal care and grace, leadership, stress and time management, world cultures, etc. courses are offered. The curriculum of the Civil Air Transportation Management program are updated in accordance with the ever-evolving aviation technologies and aviation rules. Thus, individuals with high awareness who have adapted to all innovations and developments in the sector are trained.

The curriculum of the program are fully prepared for the needs of industry stakeholders and aviation enterprises. The lecturers who teach in the program are experts in their field who have many years of aviation industry experience.

 

There is an compulsory internship for 30 working days in the Civil Air Transportation Management Program. In this way, students get to know the sector, establish valuable business connections and have an idea about shaping their career in the future. Arel University is working on establishing connections with many companies from the sector, conducting cooperation protocols on finding enterprises that will provide internship opportunities for students and job placement.

 

Civil Air Transportation Management Program Score Type: Students are accepted according to the TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) score type. Civil Air Transportation Management Program Place of Study: Our Students will study at Arel University Vocational School Sefaköy Campus.

 

Civil Air Transportation Management Program Training Period: The training period of the Civil Air Transportation Management Program is 2 years.

 

Special conditions required to be able to study in the Civil Air Transportation Management Program: Not having any Criminal Records and Criminal Records Archive Records that would prevent her from getting an airport entrance card, to receive a committee report from a full-fledged hospital, provided that it is within the last 6 months, that there is no health problem that may prevent her from performing her profession and / or the task given in the profession.

 

English Education in the Civil Air Transportation Management Program: Students studying in Civil Air Transportation Management program will take 112 hours of basic English and 84 hours of Aviation English until graduation. In addition, students can study optional English preparatory for a year before starting their vocational courses.

 

Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS)

The Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) is an exam that allows associate degree graduates to transfer to 4-year undergraduate programs. Graduates of the Civil Air Transportation Management Program have the opportunity to transfer to many undergraduate programs located under different faculties with DGS. Thus, they can obtain a bachelor’s degree in addition to their associate degree diploma.
