Department of Internal Medicine

Today, Faculty of Medicine education has become multi-disciplinary and Faculties of Medicine are divided into three main departments. These three main departments are defined as basic medical departments, internal medical departments and surgical medical departments. The Department of Internal Medicine was included in the internal medicine departments. Internal Medicine in itself, is divided into 10-12 sub-disciplines. (Allergy, Endocrinology and metabolic diseases Physiopathology, Gastroenterohepatology, general internal medicine, Geriatrics, Hematology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Medical Oncology and Medical Genetics). Cardiology first appeared as a sub-branch of the department of internal medicine.  However, since the field of specialization is quite wide, today it is considered as a department.

MISSION AND VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL MEDICINE

The mission of the Department of Internal Medicine of T.R İstanbul Arel University Faculty of Medicine is to provide health care by means of high technology in the light of modern scientific developments, on the other hand, to train highly qualified and enlightened physicians who have a say in the international field and who produce universal information.

Our vision is to improve our academic performance with the scientific research carried out and to be carried out in our Department, and to represent our faculty in the best way in the national and international arena.

HISTORY

The Department of Internal Medicine was established within “Internal Medicine” in 2020 when our faculty started educational training. The Department of Internal Medicine has been administered by the presidency of Prof. Sadi Kerem OKUTUR.

EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES

T.R. İstanbul Arel University Internal Medicine Education will be provided Cevizlibağ Campus and practical and clinical applications will be done at Bahçelievler Memorial Hospital
