History

At the University’s Senate meeting dated 06.03.2012 and numbered 20.12-04, a decision was made that the establishment of  the Faculty of Medicine was deemed appropriate and presented to the Board of Trustees. In the meeting  dated March 6, 2012 and numbered 20.12-02 under the presidency of Kemal GÖZÜKARA, the decision of the Senate regarding  the foundation of the Faculty of Medicine was deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees and submitted to the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education for approval.

On March 14, 2016 the foundation of Istanbul Arel University Faculty of Medicine was decided by the Council of Ministers to the additional Article 30 of Law No. 2809  dated March 28, 1983 on the proposal of the Ministry of Education, and was published in Official Gazette No. 2016-8700.

Prof. Dr. Enver DURAN was assigned on April 22, 2016 as the Founding Dean of Istanbul Arel University Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cem UZAL was appointed to the Dean’s Office of Faculty of Medicine on April 28, 2021 and has been serving as Dean.

In 2019, a cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Arel University Faculty of Medicine and Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital. Joint projects are currently being carried out and internship opportunities have been provided to our students.
