Dear Instructors,

 

  1. Our Hourly Paid (HP) instructors must fill out the registration form by the date specified by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Literature and submit it to the Secretary of the Faculty along with the documents requested on the second page.
  2. When our HP instructors come to their classes, they must sign the class time form located at the Secretary of the Faculty of Science and Literature.
  3. In order for our HP instructors to be able to access the Istanbul Arel University Student Information System https://obs.arel.edu.tr/ it is necessary to create a new password by following the create password directive by visiting the address.
  4. You can see the list of courses assigned to you when you log in to the Student Information System with your username and password.
  5. You can create syllabus related to the courses you have taught, enter student attendance status and make grading through the Student Information System.
  6. According to the Istanbul Arel University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, 70% are required to attend theoretical courses and 80% are required to attend applied courses. There is no attendance requirement for students who review the course for any reason other than absence.
  7. You can use the Student Information System to take attendance of students printing the signature list from the course student list section under the courses you teach. You need to add the attendances taken later in the Student Information System.
  8. The syllabuses of your courses can be found at https://eobs.arel.edu.tr/program/molekuler-biyoloji-ve-genetik-bolumu/280/ders-plani. You can also find information about assessment and evaluation methods and percentages related to your course here. However, if you have any suggestions or revision requests regarding the course profile, syllabus, course monitoring, assessment and evaluation methods, please contact our department head.
