There is an increasing need for physiotherapy applications for the treatment of musculoskeletal problems caused by injuries, diseases and old age and for the restoration of impaired functions. It is of great importance that physiotherapy applications are performed by well-trained physiotherapy technicians in the success of treatments.

 

The task of the physiotherapy technician is to contribute to the treatment of patients safely and effectively by applying physical modalities and electrotherapy methods planned for the treatment of patients under the supervision of a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or physiotherapist.

 

The goal of the physiotherapy program is to train physiotherapy technicians who have the necessary professional knowledge and equipment to apply physical therapy modalities and electrotherapy methods within the scope of planned treatment, who are equipped with contemporary knowledge and skills, who can use technological tools and equipment, who have developed research and problem solving skills, who have cultural accumulation and communication skills, who care about human health and ethical values.

 

In the Physiotherapy Program, two years (four semesters) of education at the associate degree level, all vocational and social courses are taught with the latest model physical therapy and electrotherapy devices in the modern physiotherapy laboratory with expert and competent lecturers.

Physiotherapy technicians

  • can work in public and private hospitals and health institutions, rehabilitation centers and physical therapy units,
  • in sports clubs
  • in nursing homes and spa/thermal facilities using physical therapy instruments and electrotherapy devices in coordination with patients, physicians, physiotherapists and other professionals.
